Waiting for Jesus!

Matthew 24: 3-14. These are the end times. Get ready to be with Jesus! Be like this little child…

A letter to my friend on turning 50

I wrote this letter for my friend who was turning 50. I am sharing this with all the women who are on this wonderful journey called life.

On Turning 50

Dear ______

How time flies. It seems like only yesterday when we were facing our 40’s. Now we are all in our 50’s. Thanks to _____, who had the great idea of sharing the experiences and wisdom we gathered along the way, here are mine:
1.) Life is only about getting close to God. Nothing else matters.
2.) I can only change one person…that’s me. We cannot change another. If we want to change someone, talk to God about the person, and let it be.
3.) Everyone and everything are gifts from God. The annoying person at the office, in church, or neighbor is a gift only because that person can point out the dark side of our nature, the side that needs improvement, to get us even closer to God.
4.) As we mature and reread the books we read before, we realize that there are many things we missed when we were younger, but are crystal clear now, simply because of the experiences we went through.
5.) We experience many physical and emotional changes, peri-menopause and menopause can be baffling, confusing, and mystifying. We will go through different experiences, but in the end, God sends people and remedies if we just trust in Him.
6.) We are in transit on earth. Everything we do must be for the greater glory of God. As such, no matter what our day may have been, at the end of the day, we can only define our day as a success if we showed one person in our words and/or deeds, the beauty of a child of God.
7.) Finally, I’d like to wish you a very happy, fulfilled, and contented life, not only for your 50th, but for the rest of your blessed life.

With love,

Final Destination: Heaven

Greetings everyone!

The Christmas season is upon us, but I detect an air of sadness, almost as if people are waiting for something bad to happen. Unlike Christmases in the past, this season is like there’s a feeling of impending doom. For starters, there’s the Mayan prophecy of Dec. 21, 2012. The conflict in the Middle East, the gloomy global economy, the missile test in the Pacific, all add to the doom and gloom atmosphere. The spirit of giving has become a spirit of grieving. Many have despaired and are thinking of ending it all, to get away from the horrific events that are predicted to take place soon.

There are also those who think these will all go away, just like the Y2k furor. They go their merry ways taunting those who are fearful, saying that life as we know it will go on, that the good times will always be here.

From my perspective, the end times are upon us. Just read the Book of Revelation, and you will know what I mean. There are wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes, famine, typhoons, and all the catastrophes mentioned in the Bible. However, we are not to despair and take our lives by committing suicide, because this is a one way ticket to hell. Spending eternity in hell is the worst thing that can happen. Thus, you must never, ever contemplate suicide. The way to deal with these times is to:
1.) Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
2.) Get baptized with water.
3.) Establish a relationship with God

Man was created for heaven, while hell was created for the devil. However, if man refuses to accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior, then he is not saved, and will go to hell when he dies. Everyone on earth will die, sooner or later. The only security is to make sure our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. This is the only way to get heaven, where everything will be alright.

My friends, our heavenly Father has been patiently waiting for us to go home to Him. Let us make ready for the coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

To learn more about Jesus, go to a Bible-based church. Pray to the Holy Spirit for discernment as to which church the Holy Spirit wants you to go to.

God bless you!

Give thanks to the Lord for He is good! His generosity lasts forever.

I love You, Lord Jesus. Thank You for coming to save me and the rest of mankind. I pray for all of Your people, that our names will be written in the Book of Life. We desperately need to see Your face. Protect us from the enemy, and help us lead good Christian lives, Amen.
